This week at Forest School, the children learnt how to make a Tomato and Mozzarella Quesadilla. In turn, they were able to cook their Quesadillas over the fire pit using a cast iron pan and metal utensils to support them. The children were all really successful with their cooking and managed to keep themselves safe around the fire pit by being in the respect position at all times. (The respect position enabled the children to get up quickly and effectively should they have needed to). 

At the end of the session, the children were able to toast marshmallows as a treat. When doing this, they learnt that sugar melts at a higher temperature than what water boils at!
